Event guests at Will Rogers Memorial Center no longer need to leave the WRMC grounds in order to get a hearty meal or take a break and enjoy a refreshing beverage in a comfortable atmosphere. Debuting in the Fort Worth Cultural District, Reata at the Backstage and La Espuela Mexican Cantina begin year-round service on an as-needed basis with the arrival of Fort Worth’s latest equestrian events including National Reigning Horse Association's (NRHA) Cowtown CLassic Aug 23-27 and the Reichart Celebration (September 2-11).
The Backstage opens solo from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the Cowtown Classic. Reservations are strongly recommended at the Backstage by calling (817) 348-0642. The Backstage, located in the Show Stock's Backstage Club which overlooks the coliseum, has been in operation during the annual Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo since 2007. When show attendance is at its peak, both lunch and dinner will be served and a full bar will be provided.
La Espuela will open the following week for the Reichert Celebration. La Espuela opened during the annual Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo in January 2011, and is also operated by Reata Restaurant. A sidewalk café is also being planned for the northwest corner of the Moncrief Building.
